These terms govern participation in the Short Shorts AI Affiliate Program (“Program”). By applying to or participating in the Program you agree to these terms in full.
These Affiliate Program Terms are supplemental to the Short Shorts AI Terms of Service. In case of conflict, the specific provisions here control for Program matters.

The operating company may relocate to another jurisdiction in the future. These terms will continue to apply unless materially updated with notice as described in Section 12.
Short Shorts AI (“we”, “us”) operates a credit-based platform. Users purchase credits and spend them to publish short-form video content. The Affiliate Program allows approved partners (“Affiliates”) to earn rewards when people they refer pay for credits.
Rewards are held in an Affiliate Commission Balance — a separate ledger from platform credits — and may be redeemed for cash or converted to platform credits. The Program is designed to be radically generous at the point of acquisition and automatically adjusts over time as referred customers demonstrate long-term value.
Participation in the Program is free. There is no cost to apply or maintain an affiliate account.
The platform uses three distinct types of credits. Only one type — Paid Credits — triggers affiliate commissions. This is intentional: commissions are earned when real money changes hands, never when we give credits away for free.

Plain English
You earn commission when someone you referred opens their wallet and pays us. If we give credits away — as a welcome gift, a milestone reward, or any other promotion — no commission is earned on those. This applies at every level: if a sub-affiliate's referred user receives bonus credits, neither you nor the sub-affiliate earns anything on them.
The technical definition of a commission-triggering event is: a successfully settled Stripe payment transaction on a referred user's account, as recorded in our payment processor logs. Stripe's record is the authoritative source. If a payment is later reversed, charged back, or refunded, the commission is reversed accordingly.
Bonus Credits expire 12 months from the date of issue. Paid Credits do not expire while your account is active. Affiliate Commission Balance has no expiry.

We reserve the right to approve or decline any application at our sole discretion and to terminate participation at any time with or without cause.
Each Affiliate receives a unique referral link (e.g. shortshorts.ai/r/[your-code]). When a visitor clicks your link, a referral cookie is set in their browser.
If a referred user already has an account, or was previously referred by another affiliate, no commission is earned. First-click attribution is final and cannot be disputed.
Last meaningful interaction override: If a referred user clicks one of our own paid advertisements or organic campaigns within 30 days before completing their signup, attribution reverts to us rather than the originating affiliate. This prevents “zombie” attributions where a years-old cookie claims credit for a conversion we independently re-acquired. The lifetime cookie otherwise remains in full effect.
Commissions are calculated as a percentage of each credit purchase made by your referred users. The rate automatically adjusts based on the referred user's cumulative lifetime spend on the platform (“LTV”). This decay is applied per referred user, not per affiliate account.

Example earnings
You refer 20 users. Each makes an average of 3 purchases of $29. Your first-tier earnings on each user's first $50 of spend alone = 20 × $29 × 60% = $348 in credits — before any ongoing commissions on their continued spend.
Commission rates are set at the time of each purchase and locked in. We will not retroactively reduce rates on purchases already made. We may revise the rate table for future purchases with 30 days' notice via email or posting on the Program page.
Affiliates may refer other people to join the Program. When a sub-affiliate you referred earns a commission, you earn an additional 10% of their commission — paid from our margin, not deducted from their earnings.
Example
You refer Alice to the Program. Alice refers a user who makes a $29 purchase (60% tier). Alice earns $17.40. You earn 10% of $17.40 = $1.74 — automatically, with no action required.
Sub-affiliate earnings are subject to the same payout rules as direct commissions. The sub-affiliate tier is limited to one level — sub-affiliates do not earn on their own sub-affiliates. Sub-affiliate commissions are only triggered by Stripe payments, never by Bonus Credits awarded to any party at any level.
Commissions are credited to your Affiliate Commission Balance instantly when a qualifying Stripe payment is made by a referred user — no hold period, no waiting for the billing cycle to close.
The Affiliate Commission Balance is a separate ledger from platform credits and may be redeemed for cash or converted to platform credits as described below, notwithstanding any general “credits have no cash value” provisions in the main Terms of Service.

Cash payout
Cash payouts are available via Stripe bank transfer to a verified account, or other AML-compliant bank transfer methods. Minimum $50 USD equivalent. Processed within 5 business days of request once identity and payment verification is complete. We cover standard transfer fees up to $5 per payout.
All cash payouts are made in accordance with applicable anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) regulations. Identity verification (government-issued ID and bank account details) is required before any cash payout is processed, regardless of amount. This is a one-time requirement per affiliate account.
All commissions begin in Pending status for 30 days following the qualifying Stripe payment. After 30 days without a refund, chargeback, or fraud flag, the commission moves to Cleared status and becomes available for redemption. Only Cleared commissions may be paid out or converted to platform credits.
Pending commissions are reversed in the following circumstances:
Cleared commissions (older than 30 days) are never reversed except in cases of confirmed fraud. We will notify you of any reversal and provide a reason.
In rare cases, a chargeback or fraud reversal may arrive after a commission has already been Cleared and paid out. If this creates a negative balance on your affiliate account, the amount will be deducted from your next earned commission automatically. If no future commissions are earned within 90 days, we reserve the right to issue an invoice for the outstanding amount. We will always contact you before taking recovery action.

The short version
Don't spam. Don't lie about what the product does. Don't try to game the system. We want to pay you a lot of money — but only if you're genuinely helping people discover something they'll find useful. If something feels like a loophole, it probably is — and we'll treat it accordingly.
You must clearly disclose your affiliate relationship in all promotional content in accordance with applicable advertising standards (including FTC guidelines in the US and ASA guidelines in the UK/NZ). A clear disclosure such as “affiliate link” or “I earn a commission if you sign up” is required on any page or post containing your referral link.
You may use the Short Shorts AI name, logo, and brand assets for the sole purpose of promoting the platform. You may not alter our logo, create derivative branding, or imply an official partnership beyond the affiliate relationship.
We will provide approved creative assets (banners, screenshots, copy) via your affiliate dashboard. You are encouraged but not required to use them.
Affiliates who consistently drive high-quality referrals unlock additional benefits. Tiers are calculated on a rolling 90-day basis.

Performance tier bonuses are additive to the base commission rate in the decay table. Tier is evaluated on the first of each month and applies prospectively.
A limited number of Founding Partner positions are available by invitation only. Founding Partners receive a fixed commission rate that does not decay, regardless of referred user LTV, up to a defined lifetime earnings cap.
When a Founding Partner reaches their lifetime earnings cap, their account automatically transitions to the standard Affiliate Program at the Elite tier rate. All other terms (attribution, clawbacks, prohibited methods) apply equally to Founding Partners. Individual invitation letters form part of these terms and take precedence where they conflict.
The non-decaying fixed rate is contingent on continuous compliance with these terms. Breach of any prohibited method — including brand keyword bidding, spam, AI-generated bulk content, or self-referral — immediately revokes Founding Partner status. The account reverts to the standard commission decay table from the date of the breach, and any commissions earned above what would have been earned under the standard table during the breach period are subject to reversal.
These terms are effective from the date your application is approved and continue indefinitely unless terminated.
You may terminate at any time by emailing affiliates@shortshorts.ai. Any accrued balance above the minimum payout threshold will be paid out within 30 days.
We may terminate your participation immediately and without notice if you breach any of these terms. In the event of termination for breach, unpaid affiliate balances are forfeited.
We may discontinue the Program entirely with 60 days' notice posted on the Program page at shortshorts.ai/affiliates and sent by email to all active Affiliates. All accrued balances at the time of discontinuation will be paid out in full.
We may modify these terms at any time. Changes that are materially unfavourable to Affiliates (including reduction of commission rates or payout options) will be communicated with at least 30 days' advance notice. Notice may be given by email to your registered address, by posting on the Program page at shortshorts.ai/affiliates, or both — whichever occurs first.
Changes that are neutral or favourable (such as adding new payout options, increasing rates, or adding tier benefits) may take effect immediately. Continued participation after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance.
Affiliates are independent contractors. Nothing in these terms creates an employment, partnership, joint venture, or agency relationship.
You are solely responsible for all taxes, filings, and compliance obligations arising from commissions received in your jurisdiction. We will issue earnings statements or records upon reasonable request. We will withhold or report taxes only where required by New Zealand law or the law of our operating jurisdiction if the company relocates.
You agree to provide any necessary tax documentation when requested (such as the equivalent of W-8/W-9 forms for US-based Affiliates, or equivalent documentation required by your local tax authority).
Our total liability to any Affiliate under these terms shall not exceed the total commissions paid to that Affiliate in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in the Program, including loss of anticipated commissions due to platform changes or discontinuation.
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
